In June of 1977, a summer revival was held at St. Matthews Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Florence, SC. The speaker was Elder Kenneth Foxworth from Marion, SC. He served under his pastor Bishop Frank B. Saunders at St. Matthews as a Deacon, Trustee, Usher, Choir member and Church Steward. By the help of the Lord and a few saints working very hard, Bishop Parrott opened the doors of St Jude Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 7, 1991. The church was dedicated by Bishop Tommy Anderson, presiding Bishop of the Southern United Churches of Jesus Christ.  Later that same year he was ordained Elder.

Bishop Parrott continued in the work of God and was ordained Bishop on October 2, 2005 by Bishop John Kelley and Bishop Tommy Anderson both of Columbia SC.  Bishop Parrott resigned from the Southern United Churches in 2005 and is currently a part of The Greater Highway Church, Inc., under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Bishop R.F.
