Elder H.B. Drake is a native of Dillon County, SC. He is married to the former Bertha McQueen of Dillon. They are the proud parents of three daughters (Charnissa, Na-Tissha, and Deirdre) and one son-in-law (Samuel).

As a child, Elder Drake moved and was educated in the Lenoir County public school system. Upon graduating from Woodington High School, he attended Durham Business College and Francis Marion University. Pastor Drake decided to enlist in the United States Army where he served in Bindloc, Germany. It was there he answered God’s call to the ministry under the Pentecostal Assembly. After completing his service to the Army he returned to the United States and was introduced to the Highway Church of Christ in Dillon , SC and served in many capacities to help build and establish the works of God. Elder Drake was installed as pastor of the Highway Church of Christ, Fairmont, NC in the early 1980’s. He currently serves as an Executive Board Member, President of the Ordination Committee and Overseer of the state of North Carolina.

Elder Drake has a love for God’s people, his most inspirational scripture is: “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivereth him out of them all” (Psalms 34:19). Pastor Drake enjoys meeting people, traveling and most of all, the truth (whether it hurts or not). His hobbies include: exploring, playing basketball, wood building and entertaining his great nieces and nephews.

Elder Drake's ever-living goal is to contact people everywhere he goes and to make a positive impact on their lives through the Gospel.
