Bishop R. F. Davis is a native of Marion, South Carolina.  He is the son of the late John and Ivory Nichols Davis.  He is married to the former Iolar Burch and they have six children.  His hobbies are hunting and clean humor.  He loves a good laugh.  He now resides in Marion, South Carolina and is presently the Executive Chairman of The Greater Highway Church of Christ, Incorporated.  The headquarters is located at 306 West Liberty Street in Marion, South Carolina.

            Bishop Davis has made great strides in the ministry, other enterprises, and businesses and managed many properties.  He has successfully engineered and built fourteen churches from the ground and has organized other churches in several of the principal cities of the United States and Jamaica, West Indies of the Caribbean Islands.

            He has successfully attained one radio station—WJAY-1280 AM located in Marion/Mullins, South Carolina.  He is the proprietor of Davis Funeral Services, 301 West Liberty Street in Marion, South Carolina; the City Beauty Shop located at 202 West Liberty Street in Marion, South Carolina, and an honorary residential subdivision known consisting of several hundred acres of residential and commercial properties.  The Daviston Sub-division is located on Highway 378 in Marion County, South Carolina.

            Bishop Davis is known for his dynamic Bible teaching and analysis.  He is able to defend what he preaches and teaches with the Holy Scriptures.  Bishop Davis is a good person to know.  His proverb is “A wise man becomes wiser by the things he learns.”
